Today is World Oceans Day, and the theme of 2021 is “The Ocean: Life and livelihoods”.
The ocean covers over 70% of the planet. It’s the supporting of life sustenance on the earth. The ocean supplies over 50% of the world’s oxygen, and it’s the main source of protein for more than one billion people around the world.
But did you know... Even though lot of its benefits, the ocean still needs help.
With 90% of big fish populations depleted, and 50% of coral reefs destroyed, we are taking more from the ocean than it can replenish.
Therefore, we must unite and work hard for the sustainable development!
This video is a record of beautiful underwater world photographed by our colleague who loves the ocean and freediving. Hope everyone can cherish the lovely marine life and reduce harming.
